Sculpted walls of rose, terracotta and soft clay rise on both sides of a narrow Southwest slot canyon, while pale light pours down through the gap above. Loose, sweeping strokes of oil paint suggest the curves of wind-carved sandstone without spelling out every detail, giving the scene a dreamy, slightly abstract feel. A sandy floor leads the eye into the glow.
Medium: Oil on canvas panel
Size: 5 x 7 inches
Frame: Black wood, ready to hang
One of a kind: There is only one, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
